DonationLink.com was founded in 2002 as a response to a family members bout with stomach cancer.  While she was undergoing chemotherapy and unable to work, the family coordinated numerous fundraising events including raffles, charity auctions, and benefit dinners in an attempt to raise money to help offset ongoing expenses and quickly rising medical costs.  While these methods were effective, the reach of their fundraising efforts was generally limited to the generosity and compassion of immediate family, friends, and neighbors who were aware of her illness and physically able to attend the events.  In addition to being hindered by the limited reach of their efforts, the family found themselves unprepared to deal with the numerous challenges related to coordinating and managing each of the events.

After this experience, we scoured the Internet looking for a website that would give individuals the ability to easily leverage the power and reach of e-commerce to assist with fundraising efforts, but found few options.  It was then that work on DonationLink.com.  As the site took shape, it became apparent that it could be used in a variety of ways other than benefit fundraising.  What started primarily as a way to raise money, eventually became a generic tool that gave individuals and organizations the ability to indirectly accept, and track, credit card payments.  After numerous iterations, the site was completed and launched in June of 2004.

Since then, DonationLink.com has helped numerous individuals and groups expand the reach of their fundraising and gift giving efforts.  We have an ongoing commitment to our recipients, and to ourselves, to provide a quality secure service that is beneficial to our users.  This commitment has enabled us to provide a constantly growing number of recipients access to technology that would have otherwise been inaccessible.
